Hamura was the son of Kaguya Otsutsuki and Hagoromo Otsutsuki's brother. He inherited the bloodline ability, Byakugan from his mother. Hamura once defeated and sealed the Ten-Tails with his brother. After the ninja war, he became the leader of the Otsutsuki Clan. In order to watch the Gedo Statue, he and his clansmen moved to the moon where Chibaku Tensei was generated.
